Cailyn and Christian met in typical 2017 fashion (Bumble) but nearly missed connecting at all after Christian postponed their first date — what a jerk! Luckily, Cailyn gave him a second chance, and the rest is history. 


Fast-forward to Labor Day Weekend 2021, when Christian finally popped the question. Here’s how they remember the night:


“We had a dinner reservation at our favorite restaurant, so I was already suspicious it was happening that night. But then, just before we were about to leave, he sat on the couch and mixed himself a drink! I’d be lying if I said wasn’t annoyed by the time we got to the restaurant (30 minutes late), but turns out it was all part of his plan.” — Cailyn

Today, our couple stays busy breaking in their first home in Northwest D.C. with 6-year-old mini goldendoodle Bailey and 3-year-old trash cat, Bella. They enjoy cooking, traveling, the arts, and other trappings of millennial domesticity. Pinkies out, y’all.
